The Opto Pro series of speed control by Hacker do not have a
BEC built into them. This means the ESC will only provide power to the motor
and will not provide power to your receiver or servos. To power your receiver
and servos you will need a separate 4.8 volt battery. When you do not have a
second battery for the receiver the Hacker Opto Pro speed control will not beep
and you will not notice any lights, this is normal. To properly install and connect a Hacker Opto Pro speed
control you will connect it to the brushless motor and main flight battery. The
receiver lead coming from the Opto Pro speed control will connect to the
throttle channel on your receiver. The servos will also connect to the receiver
as usual. To power the receiver and servos connect a
receiver pack battery to either the battery terminal or any open terminal on
your radio receiver. Once the entire system is connected properly with 2
batteries the speed control will function normally.
