At only 4.7oz, it is far lighter than the comparable
NiMH battery system (8.6oz), and provides constant 5.6
volts throughout the charge, unlike a 5-cell NiCD or NiMH
battery, which will drop from 6.0 to 4.5 volts. If your
battery's voltage is changing, so are the servos' speed,
torque, and feel.
If that wasn't advantage enough, the Thunder Power
Pro-Lite lithium polymer battery won't self discharge.
The 5.6v regulator adds an added safety feature: a
fail-safe switch. In the event the switch fails, your
receiver will continue receiving full power until you
disconnect the battery.
