Our CCD Video Camera is coupled with a high-power transmitter to minimize video static and break-up while
maximizing range and image detail up to 1500Ft. This video system is perfect for adding the ability to
deliver high quality video from your Draganflyer Helicopter!
Higher frequency and better transmission mean higher video quality with the Eyecam Extreme. The FM video transmitter
operates on the highest amateur frequency, 2.4GHz, to yield the most colors and best resolution. Transmitting at 50mW,
video can be received at large distances with reduced video static. In addition, the Eyecam Extreme's transmitter does
not suffer from frequency drift during temperature changes. Installing the camera and transmitter is easy - simply
replace your old baseplate with our video transmission baseplate, and mount the camera with the included articulating
arm mount. Both transmitter and receiver are four-channel selectable.
The Eyecam Extreme Receiver connects to the external circular polarized patch antenna. It is powered by
the included lithium battery, which is made fool-proof by protection circuitry that prevents it from being
over-discharged or over-charged. Note that a 3-cell lithium polymer charger is required to use this battery,
the standard Draganflyer lithium charger is recommended.
Properly mounting an airborne camera so that it points in the right direction, is located in a desirable position, and does not
vibrate have traditionally been the trickiest parts of installing a video camera. The included articulating arm mount makes this
task very simple - use two holes at the front of you Draganflyer circuit board and screw the arm mount in. That's it! From this
single mounting point the Eyecam Extreme can point in any direction from multiple positions each of which are isolated from vibration!
The optional Eyecam Extreme RX Base Station Case is a purpose-built case. The Base Station Case's inner dimensions are
9.4" by 7.2" by 4.1". It comes ready to carry the Eyecam Extreme's receiver, receiver power battery, and any portable
video storage or display device you wish to use. The video from the Eyecam Extreme CCD Video Camera has 460 lines of
resolution which approaches broadcast quality, so we recommend a MiniDV-based recorder with LCD screen. While VHS tape
records only 240 lines while the MiniDV is capable of storing all of the information with its 500 lines. It also has a
hinged antenna mount that holds the patch antenna pointed in your direction of choice for effortless videography.
Eyecam Extreme technology advances your professional aerial video quality by reducing noise and static. The CCD Optical
Sensor outperforms CMOS sensors, which are plagued by noisy, distorted images and are hypersensitive to vibration. Our CCD
Optical Sensors perform in low-light conditions where CMOS Sensors can only see black. While the CCD Optical Sensor helps
clarify your video, our Circular Polarized Flat Patch Antenna's directional reception minimizes momentary video static
caused by multipathing. Multipathing static occurs when old video data arrives at the receiver because the signal took
multiple indirect paths through surrounding objects. Less static means unparalleled video quality. Experience it today!
