Product Description:
Whether you're into electric planes, helis, cars, boats, or
other models, you need to know how your electric power
system performs under actual operating conditions.
This V4 version of the MicroPower eLogger from EagleTree comes with
pre-installed wires so that you can use the best type of
connector for your system.
The MicroPower V4 eLogger has a good portion of the features
used on its cousin, the Eagle Tree Data Recorder, at a price
point that makes it more accessible to the average
hobbyist.
The MicroPower V4 system comes with everything you need to
log current and voltage, right out of the box (logger, USB cable, CD, instructions) Additionally, you can order auxiliary sensors for
Temperature and RPM.
Key features of the MicroPower V4 eLogger:
- Logs pack current to +/- 100 amps and voltage from about 5 volts to 70 volts
- Current is measured with a true Hall Effects Sensor - NOT a resistance shunt, which produces heat and sucks power from your system!
- Adjustable logging rate (from 50 samples per second to one sample every 5 minutes)
- 16 times the logging space of the standard eLogger V3, and lossless data compression. Typically logs all available sensors for about four hours, at 10Hz
- All data is logged to permanent memory, which retains the data even when the power is removed
- Fully compatible with our OSD Pro expander
- Includes Y cable for throttle position logging
- Great for bench monitoring of battery charging also!
- Supports the PowerPanel LCD Display
- Accepts optional inexpensive sensors for three Temperatures, RPM (brushless, magnetic or optical), Airspeed, Altitude, GPS, Servo Current, and more!
- Software computes Wattage, mAH, etc. for complete e-flight data
- Fully compatible with Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit), Vista, 98SE, ME, Win2K and XP™
- Weighs about 0.8 oz (22 grams). Versions with Wire Leads may weigh slightly more
- Comes with our state of the art Windows virtual playback display and graphing software
- Powerful Graphing software has advanced charting features such as amps vs volts
- Internet Updatable firmware - as new features are added, the update is just a download away! No need to ship hardware back and forth
- Full support for English and Metric units
- Software has built in English, German and Chinese languages
- Can connect to the data port of your Spektrum AR9000 or JR R921 Receiver to log and display RF Link performance data! (with optional Spektrum interface cable)
- Integrated USB with included cable (NOT a USB to serial port cable like other loggers)
- Supports USB Live Mode, which lets you see what's happening in the model LIVE on the bench, on your PC

Buy this, then sell your wattmeter |

I put the Title in that order because you shouldn't delay in buying one of these. It's that good. And it's worth spending an extra, what, $10-40?
Those extra dollars buy you an almost continuous log of voltage and current. You are lucky if your current wattmeter displays two data points: now and peak since powerup. You can add a temperature sensor to see if your battery is properly ventilated. Too hot is bad, but so is too cold.
Your computer will almost automatically store a log of your motor and battery's performance. In a few months you might put on a bigger prop and find out that the motor got very hot. You put the smaller prop back on, but did you demag the motor? The E-logger allows you to compare old data to new data very easily. Same thing with checking for a change in battery performance.
I recommend buying the LCD screen and the micro temperature sensor to go with this.
