The latest news about Thunder Power RC. Thunderpower is an industry leader in Lithium Polymer batteries, lipo battery balancers, lipo and multi chargers. Thunder Power RC has recently expanded to carry a complete line of brushless speed controllers, 3D RC helicopters and foam RC airplanes.
Thunder Power RC releases firmware update, v4.3, for TP820CD lipo battery charger for RC airplanes, helicopters, and vehicles.
If you own, or plan on buying, the Thunder Power RC TP820CD charger or Thunder Power RC 820CD LiPoly Charger & Rip Max Pro-Peak 270W AC-DC Power Supply, you should be aware that there is a firmware update that needs to be installed on the TP820CD charger. Please note, MOST customers WILL NEED TO PERFORM THE UPDATE. All TP820CD owners should identify the version of firmware currently operating the charger to identify if further action is necessary.
To identify which version of firmware your TP820CD is operating, simply turn on the charger. You will see the version firmware your charger is running, as noted on the bottom right corner of the initial screen displayed. All TP820CD chargers with a firmware version other than v4.3 will need to install the update.

Please note: When new firmware is made available for any Thunder Power RC Charger, it should be installed to allow for optimal operation of the product.

Known in the RC Helicopter arena as ‘Lady 3D,’ Raquel Bellot has decided to join the Thunder Power RC team at helicopter events worldwide. In 2010 and 2011, Raquel participated in the IRCHA event. Raquel captured the audience as more than just a woman flying RC, she was flying 3D with her transmitter behind her back. Raquel has a passion for RC Helis that began at the age of 15. However, to Raquel RC is more than just flying it is helping others to enjoy the hobby. Raquel passes along her RC knowledge and experience by helping others at events she attends worldwide. In addition, she opened up her own RC shop AreA51-RC.es in 2011. Raquel runs her business and resides in Spain, although her hobby and passion takes her across the globe. Raquel has visited more than 12 countries to participate in competitions and events. Some of the events she has competed in include: Taiwan Align FunFly, 3DX Spain, IRCHA, Zone Format and 3D Masters. Raquel was the first female pilot ever to compete in the 3D Masters. | |

Raquel will power up her Align T-Rex 700E with Thunder Power RC G6 Pro Power 65C batteries for her public debut at the 2012 3D Masters in Venlo, Netherlands. When asked about the new partnership Raquel stated, “I only want the best for my helicopters, top quality and maximum power, that led me to Thunder Power RC.” Thunder Power RC is happy to welcome Raquel to the team.

J.J. may be relatively new to the electric powered (EP) racing scene, but is known in the nitro racing scene and as China’s youngest competitive driver. At the age of 11, J.J. was recognized by winning the Tamiya Asia Cup Junior Championship. | |

J.J. has launched his EP career with a 4th Place finish in the 4WD class at the last TITC race. Stepping up his game, powered by Thunder Power RC, J.J. recently won the EP 4WD Short Course Truck and 2WD Buggy classes at the Horizon Hobby Cup. J.J. will run Thunder Power RC Z3R motors and batteries to power his 2012-2013 racing season. J.J. will represent the TPRC Team in China and at various International and US electric/LiPo events. Thunder Power RC would like to welcome and thank J.J. for trusting in Thunder Power RC to be the power behind his recent podium level performance. Multi-Time, Swedish National Champion Magnus Vassmar has joined the Thunder Power Racing team for 2012. Magnus has proven his skills as a top contender placing in the top positions at several large events such as IIC, ETS, DHI Cup, and LRP Masters. Magnus will be using Thunder Power Z3R motors, Pro Race batteries and the Thunder Power 820CD charging system. In 2011, Magnus successfully won several National events in his home country of Sweden powered by Thunder Power RC. | |

In addition to joining the TPRC team, the Vassmar Family business Autopartner will be distributing and selling Thunder Power products in Sweden.
