Shipping Information

We Ship Worldwide Draganfly Innovations www.RCToys.com ships Worldwide. Estimated delivery times by region.

Draganfly Innovations wants you to receive your order in the most efficient way. If you need your item delivered quickly, we offer express shipping. If you do not require your item immediately, we can ship by the most economical method available. We also offer insurance on any shipping method and can provide tracking numbers if shipped by courier. Please read the following information carefully before you select your shipping method.


Do I have to pay customs fees, brokerage, import duties, or taxes?

U.S. Customers do not pay any extra fees - we pay all applicable fees when the order ships. Orders shipping within Canada will incur the following taxes:

  • Prince Edward Island - 14% HST
  • Saskatchewan - 5% GST and 5% PST
  • Ontario, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Labrador - 13% HST
  • All other Canadian provinces and Territories - 5% GST
International customers are responsible for paying ALL customs fees, brokerage fees, import duties, and taxes upon receipt of your order. Please check with your local customs office to determine which fees are applicable. If you refuse a package because you do not want to pay the import fees, we will treat the item as an unwanted item return. When we receive the returned package, we will refund you the total amount minus any damaged parts, a 20% restocking fee (50% restocking fee for Special Order products), the original shipping cost, and any costs we incur (including VAT taxes and return shipping) upon receipt of the item.


How do I track my package?

Track your order online. You can also call customer service at 1-800-979-9794 or 306-955-9907 during business hours: Mon-Fri: 7:30am - 4:30pm CST. Our current time is 2:03 am CST.

A tracking number will be provided for any orders shipped via courier. If you have provided us with an email address during your order checkout, we will email you a shipping confirmation, identifying the courier was used and the tracking number. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for a tracking number to become active because we assign the tracking number before the package is picked up by the courier.


The items I have ordered say "Free Shipping" in the title, but I was charged a shipping fee:

Free shipping ONLY applies to Thunder Power products sent standard in the US-48 and Canada. Free shipping is only offered to orders consisting entirely of items marked "Free Shipping". If our shipping calculator program has made a mistake, please contact us and we would be happy to answer any questions or correct any problems on the order for you.


Lithium Battery Shipping Regulations

Lithium batteries and any items that contain lithium batteries cannot be shipped via Postal Mail outside of Canada. In order to continue to ship all of our Thunder Power products for free within the US-48 and Canada, we use Canada Post for shipments destined within Canada and a Ground Courier for shipments destined to the US-48. Canada Post will no longer accept shipments travelling outside of Canada that contain lithium batteries as per the new (October 2011) regulations imposed by Transport Canada and the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization). We apologize for the inconvenience.


Standard Postal Mail Shipping:

If you have selected regular airmail, we will ship through either Canada Post or United States Postal Service. We will not ship orders over $250 to international destinations outside of North America via postal mail. These services do not provide tracking numbers and are not insured unless you purchase insurance. If you have selected this shipping method without insurance and your order is lost or damaged, we cannot accept responsibility. We will work with you to try to reach a satisfactory conclusion, but we will not, in any case, refund or reship uninsured items.


Courier Shipping — Ground or Express:

UPS is our regular courier service. You can choose whatever service best suits your needs based on availability, transit times, and cost. Any orders shipped via courier will receive a tracking number. If you have provided us with an email address during your order checkout, we will email you the tracking number. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for a tracking number to become active because we assign the tracking number before the package is picked up by the courier.


How long will my order take to reach me?

Orders usually ship the same or next business day after the order has been placed and the verification process is complete.

  • If paying by credit card:
    All orders paid by credit card will be verified with the card issuing bank. International orders may take a few extra days. Please ensure that the billing name and address you provide in the order checkout matches exactly what is on your credit card statement. Your order may be delayed if there are any name or address discrepancies.
  • If paying by PayPal:
    If the address you provide in your order checkout does not match what PayPal has on file or your address is unconfirmed or unverified, we will need to contact you before we ship out your order. In order to avoid these problems please ensure that the name and address you provide in the billing section of your order checkout matches exactly what PayPal has on file.
  • If paying by Money Order or Bank Wire Transfer:
    We will ship your order the same or next business day after we receive your payment.

If clarification or additional verification is required we will contact you. If we are unable to reach you this will cause a delay in shipping. We will not refund any shipping charges due to this type of delay.

Can I return a Special Order item?

Special Order products are ordered, and some are built, specifically for you when you place the order. We will charge a 50% restocking fee on all Special Order products you no longer want, even if the order has not yet shipped. Once shipped, all Special Orders are considered final sales. If your Special Order product is defective, see our Returns Policy.


How long until my Special Order item will ship out?

The lead time for Special Order items depends on what it is and where it is coming from. If you have other items on your order that are not Special Order items, we will ask you if we should hold your order until it can be completely filled or ship the items we have in stock immediately.


Are the shipping times guaranteed?

Yes, the shipping times are guaranteed by UPS (provided your order is not held up by customs or inclement weather). We always ensure there is proper documentation accompanying each package. For postal mail, the time chart shows estimated time frames for the delivery period given to us by the shipping carriers.


Can I change my shipping address after a package is shipped?

No, we cannot change the destination of the shipments after they leave our factory. If an address correction is required by the carrier during transit, you will be responsible for the associated fees (generally ranging from $10 to $25).


Where are you able to ship to?

We can ship to any location in the world with a few exceptions*. Some items due to size or weight may not be practical to ship to certain destinations. If you have any questions please contact us before you place an order and we can clarify any shipping questions you may have.

* The countries we can not ship to are: Abkhazia, Afghanistan, Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Burundi, Columbia, Congo, Cote d'Ivoire, Cuba, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Kyrgystan, Lebanon, Liberia, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Myanmar, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, The Republic of Chechnya, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Yemen, Yugoslavia, and Zimbabwe.


Can my shipping address be different from my billing address?

Yes, we can generally ship to any address you request. Your billing name and address must be entered exactly as you see it on your credit card statement, but you may specify a different ship to address. We may need to contact you before shipping to verify the ship-to address for high-value items, and in certain cases we may have to ship directly to the bill-to address (we will contact you in this situation before anything ships out). We employ a sophisticated address validation system that automatically corrects misspelled words or incorrect zip codes. We ship to the corrected address provided by this system. If there is a significant discrepancy (ex. the system changes the name of the city) we will contact you to verify the information before we ship.


Can you declare the value on the shipping document to be less than it actually is?

Under no circumstances will we lower the declared value on the shipping document or any other records. We will also not declare the item as a "gift".


Can you deliver to a P.O. Box?

Yes, but we are ONLY able to ship to P.O. Boxes if the item is delivered via regular airmail through Canada Post or United States Postal Service. Please note that not all items can be shipped airmail due to size restrictions. Please contact us if you have any questions.


Can you ship to APO/FPO boxes? Can you ship to Military Personnel?

Yes, we are able to ship to these types of addresses by regular postal mail. Wwe may request a physical ship-to address instead of a PO Box so that the order can ship through a courier if your order value is too high.


What do I do if my shipment hasn't arrived?

Please allow up to the maximum number of days specified in the shipping time table for your item to be delivered. If you selected a courier method, please use the link to the courier's website provided in the "shipment confirmation e-mail" to investigate the status. Alternatively, contact us at shipping@rctoys.com. Please note that we have to initiate any traces or claims on the shipment. Do not try to contact the carrier yourself as this may slow down the tracing process.


Can you ship a package without a signature requirement?

Yes, you may have a package delivered without a signature requirement. However, some carriers will not leave packages at certain residences due to their own security and delivery guidelines. In these cases, the driver will leave a "call tag" with a number you can call to reschedule delivery. We recommend shipping to a location where someone can accept and sign for your package. For high value items, we require a signature to ensure delivery and to validate any claims.


Do I need any special information to complete my order?

If your order value is over $2,000.00, we may require an import identification number (depending on your country, this number may be your TAX ID, business number, or passport number). Prior to completing your purchase, we recommend checking with your local customs office to clarify what information you may need to provide in order to successfully import your order. We will contact you if we need this number. US customers, please read the information below.


Regarding orders valued greater than $2,000.00 and shipping to the USA:

United States Border Services (Customs and Homeland Security) requires that all items shipping from Canada to the United States that are valued greater than $2,000.00 USD must show the TAX ID or Social Security Number for the Importer of Record. This is mandatory and must be on the Commercial Invoice and the Worldwide Services Waybill.

In addition to supplying your TAX ID or SSN, United States Border Services may require form 5106 to be filled out prior to your shipment being cleared through customs. We can not complete this form on your behalf, due to the confidential nature of its contents. United States Border Services will contact you directly for this information. When shipping to US businesses, the business TAX ID is required, and when shipping to individuals, the SSN is required. For additional information regarding new procedures that were in effect as of October 1st, 2004, please visit the U.S. Border Services Agency Web site http://www.cbp.gov/.
