Company History
With the idea of creating unique flying machines for capturing high quality aerial video
Draganfly Innovations was formed. The company started in 1998 as a small mail order business
specializing in radio control flying machines. Initially selling basic radio control
airplanes and blimps, Draganfly began to design and develop their own flying creations.
In 2003, Draganfly Innovations saw a need for cost effective remote sensing in industrial
markets and created an industrial division. By developing and custom building ground and air
vehicles for commercial applications Draganfly has been able to bring complex and otherwise
expensive technology into today's hobby market.
As the aircraft became more sophisticated the company grew to meet production requirements.
Draganfly Innovations now employs 22 full and part time hobby enthusiasts, engineers, and
designers to ensure the products are always evolving and improving. The staff's personal
interest in the radio control hobby and over 200 years of combined experience keeps
Draganfly's product line full of the latest and most high tech equipment.
Sticking with its initial vision Draganfly Innovations continues to provide easy to fly and
operate machines for everyone from beginners to expert.
